Ethics and Integrity in Ministry

EIM Compliance is required of all clergy, religious, seminarians, diocesan employees, parish and Catholic school employees, and adult laypersons who volunteer in ministry programs or organizations.  To be compliant, one submits an EIM Application for Ministry (one time only) and attends an EIM workshop every 3 years.

I AM BRAND NEW TO THE EIM PROCESS

EIM Application

• Welcome! Please go to VIRTUS.org and click “first-time registrant”.
• Go through the registration process (appx. 5 minutes) and sign up for a live training workshop. You will see a list of workshops once you register. You need to attend a workshop within 30 days.
• The live training workshop is about 3-hours long and trains you to spot and report abuse as well as how to establish healthy boundaries. 

I HAD AN EXISTING EIM ACCOUNT

If your old account had previous training history, your data has been transferred to VIRTUS and you will have received a welcome email with your VIRTUS login user ID. The email was from VIRTUS Online or helpdesk@virtus.org and was sent January 9-10, 2023. Login to VIRTUS.org as an existing user. If you need help, click “I need login help,” or contact Erik Diaz our EIM Site Administrator at reoffice@santacruzcc.org.

Once you are logged in, look at My Info to verify that all profile information is up-to-date, and look at Training History for your most recent workshop/training date (must be within the last 3 years to maintain compliance). You may personalize your User ID at this time.

• If you did not have an EIM workshop recorded in your account, your account was not converted, and you will start as a new user.
• If you attended an EIM workshop more than 3 years ago it is expired, and you will be prompted to take the (appx. 70 minutes) online refresher training through VIRTUS Online. You must complete training prior to serving in ministry.
• If your EIM training is current you will not be prompted to do anything at this time but will receive reminder emails when you are due to update your training

Aplicación

• Bienvenido Por favor, vaya a VIRTUS.org y haga clic en "primer registro".

• El taller directo dura unas 3 horas y en él se aprende a detectar y denunciar los malos tratos, así como a establecer límites sanos.

YA TENÍA UNA CUENTA EIM

¡Genial! Si tu antigua cuenta tenía historial de formación anterior, se ha convertido a VIRTUS Online.
Utilizando su ID que recibió en el correo electrónico de VIRTUS Online (helpdesk@virtus.org) entre el 9 y 10 de enero, inicie sesión en VIRTUS.org como usuario existente. Si necesita ayuda, haga clic en "I need login help" o póngase en contacto con nuestra coordinadora de EIM reoffice@santacruzcc.org

Una vez que haya iniciado sesión, vaya a Mis datos para comprobar que toda la información de su perfil está actualizada, y busque en Historial de formación la fecha más reciente de su taller/formación (debe ser de los últimos 3 años para mantener la conformidad).
 

• Si no tenía un taller EIM registrado en su cuenta, su cuenta no se ha convertido y empezará como nuevo usuario.
• Si usted asistió a un taller de EIM hace más de 3 años que ha caducado, y se le pedirá que tome el (aprox. 70 minutos) de formación en línea de actualización a través de VIRTUS en línea. Usted debe completar el entrenamiento antes de servir en el ministerio.
• Si su formación EIM está al día, no se le pedirá que haga nada en este momento, pero recibirá correos electrónicos recordatorios cuando deba actualizar su formación
