Dear Parishioners,
It is hard to believe that we have been dealing with the effects of this pandemic for a year. In all of this time, I am grateful for your kind attention to the safety protocols that we have in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We have seen the struggle that many of our parishioners and family members have faced with this virus.
In light of the pastoral letter of Bishop Vasquez and with concern for all the factors involved, it is prudent that we maintain our protocols at Santa Cruz Catholic Church and School, which includes wearing facemasks and social distancing every other pew. These protocols have enabled everyone, including the vulnerable if they judge it prudent to do so, the ability to participate physically in Sacraments, sacramental preparation, and ministries of service and formation.
We move forward in this way acknowledging the inconvenience which is undertaken that is formed from our natural responsibilities in charity and justice towards God and our neighbor. Please be assured of my prayers for you and your family as we look forward to celebrating together with our Easter liturgies.
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Jesse Martinez
